Nvidia's GTX 1050 3 GB

Well Nvidia is preparing its latest graphics card which would cater the needs of a gamer on a budget. It stands between the 4 GB and the 2 GB model and brings a faster base clock. Well you can play high-end games with this card on a very reasonable price. Well, Nvidia has partnered with Asus, EVGA and Zoltac to create this graphics card and it is said to be out in early summer; in June.

It is the next generation of Nvidia's graphic cards and is said to be priced between $140 and $200 as one of Nvidia's spokesman stated. It has an extra memory buffer which is said to be able to run modern games more smoothly as compared to the 2 GB model. It should also be able to run games 10 times faster than the regular 2 GB model.

The 3GB GTX 1050 can boost up to 1,518MHz, compared to 1,455MHz for the original GTX 1050 and 1,392MHz for the GTX 1050 Ti. The Graphic processor of this card is almost as good as the one in the 1050 Ti model and packs 768 CUDA cores which is as much as the Ti model. However the original 2 GB model packs only 640 CUDA cores.

On the other hand, the 3GB GTX 1050 only packs a 96-bit bus, compared to the 128-bit bus of the other two models which results in lower memory bandwidth of 84 GB/second as compared to the other two models which have a bandwidth of 112 GB/second.

Bad News Crypto-Miners

Having 3 GB makes it possible to play games but mining and using it for cryptocurrencies will provide you with no good as cryptocurrencies like Ethereum requires 3 GB at the minimum. So if you are deciding to mine then this graphics card is not for you.

To sum up, consider the card as a power-efficient option for e-sports and a great option for gamers on a budget. It does not need any additional power supplies to run, so a card like this can boost prebuilt PCs. Comment below if you would love to own one!
